Are Corporations Really People?!?
Please join Senator Bernie Sanders for a Town Meeting to discuss the issue of corporations being afforded the status as "persons" under the constitution.

What can be done to reverse the implications of "Corporate Personhood," including the recent, disastrous Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission that corporations have a constitutionally-protected right to unlimited and anonymous campaign spending? How can we establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are entitled to constitutional rights.
The meeting will feature a keynote address by Thom Hartmann, host of the nationally-syndicated "Thom Hartmann Program" and author of “Unequal Protection: How Corporations Became ‘People’ – And How You Can Fight Back”.
Also speaking at the meeting will be Rob Weissman, president of Public Citizen; Cheryl Hanna, constitutional law professor, Vermont Law School; and Vt. State Senator Ginny Lyons.
The meeting is free and open to the public. RSVP is requested, but not required.

You may RSVP and begin discussing the issue on the senator's Facebook page.
