Town Meeting on the Future of the Postal Service

Senator Sanders wants to hear your thoughts on potential major changes to the postal service. These changes would have a profound impact on mail delivery and the economy. The postal service is considering:

  • The firing of 120,000 postal employees
  • The closing of 3,700 post offices, including 15 in Vermont
  • The closing of 300 mail processing centers, including two in Vermont
  • The elimination of Saturday mail delivery
