Sanders to Give Keynote Address at VSAC’s College and Career Event
Join Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday, March 24 at Northern Vermont University’s Johnson State College campus, where he will give the keynote address at VSAC’s College and Career event.
Geared toward Vermont high school students and their families, the event will feature a half-day of free college and career workshops to help plan for life after high school graduation. Bernie will stress that while not all middle-class jobs in today’s economy require post-secondary education, an increasing number do. By 2020, two-thirds of all jobs in Vermont will require some education beyond high school. The college and career event will also highlight pathways to skilled trades, apprenticeships and careers that don't require a college degree.
