VermontTown Meetings on Challenges Facing Veterans
WASHINGTON, June 3 - Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will welcome Dr. James Peake, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, to Vermont on Monday, June 23. Sanders, a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, and Secretary Peake will hold town meetings in South Burlington and White River Junction.
"I am glad that Secretary Peake will have a chance to hear the concerns of Vermont's veterans," Sanders said. "Caring for our service members is part of the cost of going to war. I hope Vermonters of all backgrounds - but especially veterans and their families - will take advantage of this opportunity."
These meetings are free and open to the public.
