Vermont Marble Museum Honored for Video

The Vermont Marble Museum in Proctor, Vt. was honored last week for its video production of “America’s Eternal Flame: The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”

The 11-minute documentary film traces the production of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the early 1930s. The Vermont Bernie Buzz highlighted Vermont Marble Museum’s role in crafting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier this past summer. The Tomb is located at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia and is one of our nation’s most recognizable monuments.

The film was produced by independent filmmaker Kurt Supancic, who is a Proctor, Vt. native and currently lives in Colorado, the museum said in a written statement.  The film was written by Cathy Miglorie, director of the Vermont Marble Museum.

The Omni Intermedia Award is an international award recognizing outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten. The museum won a silver award in the entertainment category.
