Marriage Equality On Friday, the Supreme Court issued a landmark decision that all states must issue marriage licenses to gay couples. Sen. Bernie Sanders wrote, "This decision is a victory for same-sex couples across our country... For far too long our justice system has marginalized the gay community and I am very glad the Court has finally caught up to the American people," NBC News and FOX News reported. Terror Attacks in Three Countries Terrorists attacked sites in France, Tunisia and Kuwait on Friday, leaving a bloody toll on three continents and prompting new concerns about the spreading influence of jihadists. In France, attackers tried unsuccessfully to blow up a chemical plant in Lyon. In Tunisia, at least one gunman disguised as a vacationer opened fire at a beach resort, killing at least 37 people before security forces shot him to death. And the Islamic State claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in one of the largest Shiite mosques in Kuwait City during Friday prayers, The New York Times reported. LINK

Marriage Equality The Supreme Court declared Friday that same-sex couples have a right to marry anywhere in the United States, a historic culmination of decades of litigation over gay marriage and gay rights generally. Gay and lesbian couples already could marry in 36 states and the District of Columbia. The court's 5-4 ruling means the remaining 14 states, in the South and Midwest, will have to stop enforcing their bans on same-sex marriage, The Associated Press reported.  LINK
