Senator Bernie Sanders met with Ellen Heimann, a student from Montpelier, VT. Ellen was visiting Washington D.C. as a part of the National Student Leadership Conference, a program for high school students that allows them to pursue academic and career interests.
Senator Bernie Sanders met with students from University of Vermont’s 4-H Extension club. 4-H is a national club that teaches youth life skills, leadership and citizenship, and this branch is part of UVM’s Extension program.
Senator Sanders marched in the Colchester 4th of July Parade and later spoke in Bristol to members of the Five Town Health Alliance who are organizing to have a Federally Qualified Health Center in their community.
