Bernie had a very busy two weeks on his Thanksgiving recess travelling around the state meeting with hundreds of Vermonters on a range of issues.
Below are some photos to give you an idea of what he was up to.
In addition to his “No Child Left Behind Town Meeting” (click here for photos), Bernie also held two other town meetings around the state. To view photos click one of the following - Rutland, Vergennes.
Over 100 people came out in Vergennes on Sunday to talk about the issues of the day with Bernie, despite predictions of a massive snow storm. State legislators joined Bernie on the panel to update folks on what they expect to be coming up in Montpelier as well.
Sen. Sanders brought together a group of Vermont educators at Burlington High School to discuss No Child Left Behind. Sanders is a member of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. Other panelists included Jeanne Collins, superintendent of Burlington School District; Ned Kirsch, principal of Essex Middle School; Dave Cobb, principal of Lyndon Town School; Vicki Wells, director of student services, Addison Central S.U., and Nancy Thomas, assistant superintendent of special services, Washington Central S.U.
