Senator Sanders held a town meeting on poverty in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Sanders was joined by state Sen. Jan Kitchel (D-Caledonia), state Rep. Robert Dostis (D-Waterbury) and other local leaders. The panel took the time to discuss with residents many of the employment, educational, and economical hardships facing common Vermonters and Americans. Poverty in the Northeast Kingdom is a alarming and growing problem.
Bernie joined with a large number of Richford residents to celebrate the completion of the redevelopment of Richford's Main Street Mill on Oct. 5.
Main Street Mill is officially completed with the three major occupants: Mac's Market, the Richford Health Center, and 12 affordable apartments.
