Release: Vermont to Receive $42.3 Million Stimulus

WASHINGTON, March 31 – The U.S. General Services Administration plans to spend almost $42.3 million in economic stimulus funds on two projects in Vermont.

The projects represent Vermont’s share of more than $5.5 billion allotted in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for the agency that operates as the federal landlord and property manager.

The stimulus package included $4.5 billion to convert federal buildings to high-performance green buildings.  Another $750 million was set aside to renovate and construct federal buildings and courthouses, and $300 million was included to renovate and construct land ports of entry.
