BURLINGTON, Vt. April 11 – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) issued the following statement today after President Barack Obama and Cuba's Raul Castro held the first formal meeting of the two country's leaders in a half century:
“Fifty years of Cold War is enough. I applaud President Obama for turning the page on U.S-Cuba relations, for meeting with Raul Castro and for moving toward full normalized relations with Cuba. This is an approach that is long overdue.”
