The Vermont town, like the cartoon show, has a bowling alley, a prison, a pub and, yes, a nuclear power plant down the road.

Springfield, Vt. won an online contest in USA Today to pick the Springfield that would host the world premiere of the movie.

Now that Homer and Marge and Bart, Lisa and Maggie have come home to Vermont, maybe George Bush will pay a visit to the one and only state the president has never visited.
