A Nation Mourns

A funeral procession for Senator Edward M. Kennedy arrived in Boston Thursday from the Kennedy compound on Cape Cod, where one of the most respected an influential senators in American history died late Tuesday. After a private mass, the procession drove past an American flag that flew at half-staff in front of the Kennedy family home at Hyannis Port, Mass. President Obama will deliver a eulogy at a funeral in Boston on Saturday. All four living former presidents plan to attend along with many of Kennedy’s Senate colleagues. A burial ceremony will follow at Arlington National Cemetery, near the graves of his brothers, John and Robert.
