A Step Forward on Global Warming

The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday proposed to cap the amount of heat-trapping greenhouse gas emissions from new coal-fired plants power plants. “I applaud the EPA for coming up with common-sense standards to reduce the carbon pollution that causes global warming,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders, a member of the Senate environment and energy committees. “Much more must be done to avoid a planetary crisis, but reducing emissions from dirty coal-fired power plants is a good step toward dealing with the man-made causes of climate change.”
