Another American Tragedy

Flags were lowered to half-staff at the Capitol and across the country on Monday when at least 13 people were killed at the Washington Navy Yard. Security was heightened at the Capitol, a few blocks away from the Navy Yard, and the Senate cancelled roll call votes that had been scheduled for Monday evening. "Today we have experienced another horrific and senseless shooting," Sen. Sanders said. "It is a tragic day for our country and the U.S. Navy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and the wounded."
