Big majorities favor raising the minimum wage, according to early exit polls released on Tuesday. The federal minimum wage is now $7.25 an hour. Republicans in Congress have blocked a legislation, co-sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, to raise the wage to $10.10 an hour. It’s an example of how the Republican agenda in Congress is out of sync with Americans voters, the senator told Ed Schultz in an interview as the sun set on the east coast.
