Flash Flood Watch
A flash flood watch remains in effect through Tuesday morning for most of Vermont. One to 3 inches of rain are expected by Tuesday morning across much of the state except for Franklin and Grand Isle counties, the National Weather Service forecast. The watch says "areas hard hit by Tropical Storm Irene last week will be susceptible to more flash flooding given the already wet and eroded ground. It will not take much rainfall to cause flash flooding in this situation."
