Getting Into the Groove

The Senate will try again next week to take up a jobs bill.  The focus this time will be on road and bridge projects that would create construction jobs. Republican have offered no plan of their own but have thrown up parliamentary roadblocks. Last week they blocked consideration of a bill that would have helped states avoid layoffs of teachers and police officers. Sanders and radio host Ed Schultz discussed a new New York Times/CBS News poll  that found overwhelming majorities favor the jobs legislation and a surtax on millionaires that would help pay for the measures. Sanders also prai praised President Obama's newfound enthusiasm for the bill. "He's getting into the groove," Sanders said.
