Sens. Bernie Sanders and Barbara Boxer have introduced legislation to reverse global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions. Their bill would impose a $20 per ton fee on carbon emissions. “The important issue to understand right now is that according to the scientific community, we stand in danger of seeing the planet Earth temperature rise by 8°F by the end of this century. If that happens, what they are telling us is this will cause catastrophic - underline catastrophic - damage to the planet,” Sanders told “Living on Earth” host Steve Curwood.
