Redefining America


A House-passed budget for next year is “the most radical piece of extremist legislation” and would “disband major program after major program,” Sen. Bernie Sanders said today. The bill that has been a hot topic at town meetings where Americans are voicing their opposition to dismantling Medicare and Medicaid and slashing $1 trillion in taxes on the wealthiest Americans and corporations. He said what the Republicans are up to amounts to “redefining what the United States of America is.”  He told Ed Schultz radio audience that the Senate should bring up and vote down the budget that the House passed on a party-line vote. “We’ve got to make them eat that plan,” he said.
