Remembering 9/11

Today we remember the nearly 3000 people who were murdered in the worst terrorist attack in history. We remember those brave first responders who saved so many lives, and in doing so lost their own. And we remember how we came together as a people in those days and weeks afterward. In that spirit, let us recommit ourselves to ending not only the problem of terrorist violence, but to the conditions that give rise to that violence: corruption, authoritarianism, inequality, and ethnic and religious hatred.
