Sanders Lays Out Higher Education Plan

Sen. Bernie Sanders Tuesday laid out a plan to make college more affordable and accessible for students from working families.

In a Senate speech, Sanders described what he called “the crisis of college affordability that is impacting millions of middle class and working families all around the United States and Vermont.”

The senator is drafting legislation to allow low-income students to pursue college courses while they are in high school. He also backs legislation to rein in rising student loan interest rates.
