Senate May Vote on Top Justice Department Pick
After six weeks of delay, Senate Republicans on Tuesday signaled that they may finally allow a confirmation vote on President Barack Obama’s nomination of Loretta Lynch to be the attorney general. Sen. Bernie Sanders called the delay a “disgrace.” Interviewed by the Rev. Al Sharpton, Sanders blamed the holdup on Republican “obstructionism for anything that President Obama wants.” He cautioned that the confirmation vote could be close on the well-qualified nominee.
