Milk Price Discussion

Sen. Bernie Sanders’ office invites Vermont’s dairy farmers to share their ideas on improving low milk prices. Our dairy farmers are struggling due to a prolonged period of low milk prices. While the newly improved Margin Protection Program has helped ease short-term cash flow problems for some farmers, a long-term solution is desperately needed to boost milk prices and ensure the viability of dairy farming in our state.

This staff-led discussion is an opportunity for farmers to weigh in on what policies they think are needed to improve milk prices and farm income.
