BURLINGTON, Vt., Nov. 17 – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Rep. Becca Balint (D-Vt.) will hold a statewide telephone town hall on Wednesday, November 19, at 6 p.m. Following a painful government shutdown that failed to protect Vermonters from massive increases in their health insurance costs, the delegation will hear directly from Vermonters about the challenges they are face and will answer their questions.
Vermonters will receive an incoming call from Sanders’ office on Tuesday evening inviting them to participate in the town meeting the following evening. The caller ID will read “Senator Sanders.” Another call will go out on Wednesday just before 6 p.m. to connect Vermonters to the event. Anyone who would like to ensure they receive a call to join the event can register here by Tuesday, November 18, at 11:59 p.m. Participants can also submit questions in advance through the registration form. During the call, the Vermont congressional delegation will respond to live questions from phone participants as well as ones submitted through the registration form.
Vermonters can also watch a livestream of the event at www.facebook.com/senatorsanders.
