The Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer organization that serves as the official civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. Not only do cadets get to fly in Civil Air Patrol planes, they help communities recover from disasters, locate missing people, participate in leadership and professional development events, and meet other cadets from across the state and the country. Many cadets go on to attend a military service academy, though not all join the military. Regardless of what they go on to do, all cadets use the skills and confidence they develop during their time with the Civil Air Patrol.
