Celebrating the Holidays Together

I am delighted that over a thousand Vermonters in Burlington, St. Albans, Bennington and Rutland joined me this weekend in celebrating the holidays at our second annual “Cookies and Carols” events. We had great local music, seasonal beverages and some very good desserts. More importantly, these gatherings brought people of all ages together to enjoy each other’s company and spread a little old-fashioned holiday cheer.

Sharing a Vermont Tradition Across Generations

Every year, before the opening weekend of dear season, towns across Vermont host youth and novice hunting breakfasts. These events give first-time hunters the chance to learn hunting and gun safety, and to try their hand at a new skill. This October, the Bernie Buzz caught up with the organizers and attendees of the Randloph Fish and Game Club, which recently renewed the youth hunters breakfast tradition in their town.
